Ray Von Posted May 28, 2010 Report Share Posted May 28, 2010 This R80, i've got, the clutch looks like it's stuck to the flywheel, i understand it's a bit like a car clutch being only single disc an all. I've had a butchers and it looks like the gearbox bolts off the engine, what sort of job is it? Also can anyone recommend a decent and reasonable BMW parts supplier? NumberOne Posted May 29, 2010 Report Share Posted May 29, 2010 Not done one myself, but my understanding is that it's a fairly straight forward (if lenghty) job.. with lots to unbolt, it comes off from the rear, the engine stays in the frame. Egg on Leggs Posted May 29, 2010 Report Share Posted May 29, 2010 I did one about 20 years ago' it was straight forward but I do seem to remember the clutch plate was stuck.
