Castrol_Fidelity
Hiya , n00b here so be nice for at least 5 mins. Recently returned to bikes after a 5 year lay-off and bought mi sen a minted K3 Gixer with 7.5k on't clock , Last service was done at 4k but the guy who sold me it said he dropped the oil and changed filter every year it was in use regardless of mileage. Just really interested in finding out what sort of things should be done at what mileage , is there a chart of some sort that will lemme see this?? I know there was one in the owners manual of the VTR I used to have but cannae see owt in the Soozook book. In particular valve clearances. churz Caz
originalracingsnake
Welcome in. You can forget the valves until 14.5k miles.... I got mine done on the K5 at 14k, and they were spot on. I also know of a K5 that has done 12k TRACK miles, and at 14.5k, the clearances were on the nose. Amazing. Googling should show the std intervals for the bike.
