j0hnny Posted May 16, 2010 Report Share Posted May 16, 2010 expert opinions needed, have a k8 thou, making a bit of a squeak whenenver i turn on bike ie, just turning the key, not actually starting the engine, sounds like something needs a squirt of oil, is this from the fuel pump? or what else is moving when the engine is not running, any ideas? TriGGer Posted May 16, 2010 Report Share Posted May 16, 2010 Switching the ignition on does a few things to prepare for starting the bike, priming the fuel pump and driving the exhaust valve and Secondary Butterflies through a cycle and into their correct position.
