O2 Sensor Eliminator and PCIII Map R1 08

O wise one...please answer my prayer...

My R1 08 is stock at present with PCIII fitted...

Q...Is there a difference between fitting an aftermarket O2 senser eliminator.....and......simply disconnecting the O2 sensor from the wiring loom......????????

I've run the bike with O2 sensor disconnected.......using the map from Dynojet (Standard Euro spec R1 08 with O2 disconnected).....but every time I stop at the lights, the bike roughs on idle and stops..........

Q....When Dynojet say "with O2 disconnected", do they mean "disconnected", or do they men "O2 sensor eliminator" installed.......

Is there a difference????.....Cause if there is no difference, then their map doesnt work on my 'my' bike.....

Currently running PCIII with no map installed and O2 reconnected.........

Amen and thank you for your help.

I think the o2 eliminator gives a signal to the ecu saying the fuelling is within range, allowing the pcIII to do it's own thing. I had an o2 eliminator fail on my ZX10R and the bike did run horribly, curiously the FI light only came on when I swapped them around, so it looks like only one circuit is monitored for failure.
